America Heritage University’s DBA Program is a professional doctorate. It offers a route to a doctorate degree and thereby the title “Doctor” that is different from the traditional Ph.D. The DBA gives particular attention to the development of candidates as managers and business professionals. It places a high value on the transferability of investigative findings to and from the workplace, and it expects that the researcher’s own learning will contribute to the development of professional practice. Thus, a key characteristic of the DBA degree is that it recognizes the workplace as both the field for, and the beneficiary of, high quality research. Rather than add to their monthly workload, DBA candidates should seek to integrate and diffuse their doctoral studies within their working environment.

The America Heritage University’s DBA is focused on the candidate and the candidate’s business, and is designed to:
  • Develop high caliber executives and consultants with applied research skills and advanced managerial skills to direct enterprises that operate in a complex, global and competitive environment;
  • Advance the long term viability of the organization through the candidate’s high level contributions;
  • To enhance the effectives of organizations through the application of the theory to “real-life” situation;
  • Provide an opportunity to undertake a major individual research study which will have specific benefit to the candidate’s organization and career;
  • Offer small, highly interactive and dynamic research sessions, delivered by commercially experienced practitioners and academics carefully selected for their practicality, excellence in teaching and outstanding performance in both intellectual and business practice.

Additional unique features of the AHU DBA program is students will have the opportunity to attend a 7 days Residential Studies in Penang, Malaysia and a study tours to visit successful industries located in Penang, where students were granted access to view high profile multi-nationals or local successful public listed companies from inside out. The participants will have the opportunity to learn the real business / industry situations and techniques for operating in a global business environment.

The American Heritage University and Southern Luzon State University offers graduate students a unique opportunity to earn complementary DBA degrees from two different countries.

The advantages of Dual Degree Program:

1. By earning two complementary degrees in two different countries, students gain access to two networks of business contacts and colleagues and exposure to two sets of potential employers.

2. It allows students to tailor their educational experience to their specific career objectives.

3. Globalization is changing the career market. People are increasingly being employed to work anywhere in the world. Graduate with dual DBA degrees from ASEAN and USA will have great advantages.
