Official Signing of Memorandum of Agreement between Eastern Visayas State University, Philippines and EDS Asia Pacific in Penang, Malaysia

During the Nov 2008 EDS International Residential CEO Program in Penang, Malaysia, Eastern Visayas State University (www.evsu.edu.ph) and EDS Advance Academy (http://eds2u.blogspot.com) took the opportunity to sign a Memorandum of Agreement to establish an international collaboration.

The EVSU and EDS collaboration is an exemplary model of a unique cross border education which permits the campus based EVSU to attain an international university status with it's collaboration with EDS international university partners and provides EDS and their international education partners the opportunity to achieve their missions in international open learning. This collaboration provides new opportunities for faculty development, increased curriculum offerings, dual degree efforts, and the transfer of knowledge and technology. The collaboration further permits EVSU and EDS to leverage available infrastructure and human resources through cooperation and joint venture, making the provision of higher education more affordable globally.
