Global HR Excellence Award 2009
My heartiest congratulation to Dr. Ben Lee, CEO of EDS Advance Academy for the Academy's latest international honour - the Global HR Excellence Award 2009. The award is in recognition of EDS contribution towards global human resource development. Penang is indeed very proud to have a local brand which is being recognized and honoured internationally. Dr. Ben Lee and his able team have demonstrated the true spirit of "Malaysia Boleh" (Malaysia Can), showing that it is not mere empty slogan.
The State Government has plans for Penang to be a global education hub in the near future. With its vast experience, including its international networks, EDS can set the pace to lead the way, by bringing the world to Penang! Indeed with our strong emphasis on medium- to high-tech industry in Penang, we need the kind of human resource development model advocated by EDS to keep up with challenges of our times, indeed we need to teach the future today!
