TESTIMONIAL

By Professor Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon, President of Ifugao State University, Philippines

The International Leadership Colloquium offered a first class experience in networking to its participants. This is true because the participants came from diverse academic institutions throughout the world.

Secondly, the participants are academic leaders who could make or were empowered to make commitment for and in behalf of their institutions albeit to a certain extent.

EDS International Residential Program
Enters its Eighth Year with High Acclaim

Group gathering of participants at March 2010 EDS Program

The EDS Business School has conducted its International Residential Program in Penang, Malaysia, and at other locations across the Asia-Pacific now enters its eighth year with high acclaim from its students and affiliates. Since 2002, through co-enrollment with respected colleges and universities, EDS participants from many nations have earned their MBA or DBA degree through this highly dynamic cross-border mode of executive open learning.

Because of its blended model of delivery, short term residential study coupled with follow-up distance tutorial, the EDS residential program has proved suitable and highly effective for busy working professionals. EDS currently operates its seminar program and has initiated formal training associations in many nations, including Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines (Puerto Princesa City, Lucban, Laguna, Pampanga, Ifugao, and Tacurong City), Vietnam (Hanoi, Thai Nguyen City and Ho Chi Minh City), United States of America (California and Hawaii), Hong Kong, and Macedonia.

By hosting activities such as the quarterly International University Leadership Colloquium, EDS serves as catalyst for universities and training institutions for establishment of international open learning partnerships and cooperation, expanding access to educational opportunities, providing for capacity-building, and upgrading university and college teaching faculties.

During the past few years, EDS Business School has received high acclaim from a number of Associations who have found the work of the EDS Team to be, not only reputable, but praiseworthy as well. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage City, Penang is among the best venues for cross border residential study and networking. Historically viewed as the Pearl of the Orient, Penang’s architecture, art and culture co-exist alongside modern development, with world class shopping, attractions, and accommodations. Penang's cosmopolitan and welcoming population with its multi-cultural and multi-religious are the most endearing characteristics of the Island.

On Saturday, March 20, the Penang State Government hosted a Welcome Dinner for the participants of the EDS Residential Program at the exclusive venue known as Pinang Peranakan Mansion.
