Enters its Eighth Year with High Acclaim

Because of its blended model of delivery, short term residential study coupled with follow-up distance tutorial, the EDS residential program has proved suitable and highly effective for busy working professionals. EDS currently operates its seminar program and has initiated formal training associations in many nations, including Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines (Puerto Princesa City, Lucban, Laguna, Pampanga, Ifugao, and Tacurong City), Vietnam (Hanoi, Thai Nguyen City and Ho Chi Minh City), United States of America (California and Hawaii), Hong Kong, and Macedonia.
By hosting activities such as the quarterly International University Leadership Colloquium, EDS serves as catalyst for universities and training institutions for establishment of international open learning partnerships and cooperation, expanding access to educational opportunities, providing for capacity-building, and upgrading university and college teaching faculties.
During the past few years, EDS Business School has received high acclaim from a number of Associations who have found the work of the EDS Team to be, not only reputable, but praiseworthy as well. EDS received the Global HR Excellence Award 2009-10 for Outstanding Contribution to the Cause of Education at the World HRD Congress in Mumbai, India on 12 February, 2011. EDS was honored with the Leadership Excellence Award in Cross-Border Education by Philippines Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Region IV at Laguna State Polytechnic University, Santa Cruz, Laguna, Philippines on 20 January, 2010. Additionally, the EDS Team received the Global HR Excellence Award 2009 for Contribution to the Field of Global Training and Development at the Asia Pacific HRM Congress 2009 in Bangalore, India on 19 September, 2011. These and other awards for members of the EDS Team and the team as a whole give testimony of the training quality of its programs and the ethical nature of the EDS organization.
On Saturday, March 20, 2010 the EDS International Residential Program began with an Opening Ceremony at the B-Suite Hotel in Penang, Malaysia. Participants from Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Poland, Ghana, USA, Macedonia, and Singapore, were in attendance. Prof. Pete Ooi, EDS Chief Operating Officer, served as MC for the opening festivities, supported by Professor Dr. Douglass Capogrossi, President of Akamai University, USA and Dr. Nelson Bnag, President Emeritus, Sultan Kadarat State University, Philippines. Representatives for each nation addressed the opening gathering.

On Saturday, March 20, the Penang State Government hosted a Welcome Dinner for the participants of the EDS Residential Program at the exclusive venue known as Pinang Peranakan Mansion.

Together with the advantage of EDS world class seminar trainers, one important benefit of the EDS cross-border residential model for participants is the opportunity for sharing and networking with high quality classmates across many nations.

EDS provides participants post-training support via its weekly Global Synergy Network e-Newsletter, emailed to participants. Global Synergy Network is a continuous learning and management education tool with articles on personal and business development, and the latest management news and global business trends. As part of the EDS continuous learning initiative, participants are encourage to refresh their learning by re-attending any of the seminars or training workshop at any of the regional venues without tuition.
