IPK Convocation

Dr. Ben Lee Special Commencement Speaker
at IPK Educational Group Convocation

Dr. Ben Lee, EDS President & Founder was invited by IPK Educational Group was given the special honor to serve as their commencement speaker and present the diplomas to their graduan on 30 October 2011 at Sunway Carnival Convention Hall in Seberang Jaya, Penang. This is especially important to Dr. Lee, as IPK was founded by Mr. Francis Chen and Mr. Choo Chuan Sin, both being high achieving MBA graduates of the EDS Business School. Dr. Ben Lee’s commencement speech was inspiring and well received.

If you really want to achieve success in life …continuous learning is a must. --Dr. Ben Lee

Following are excerpts from Dr. Lee’s speech:
You might ask why a can of Cola selling at Tesco costs only RM1.20 a can? However, iIf you order the same Cola at any of the restaurant at Sunway Carnival here, it costs RM3-00 or more! Further, if you simply cross the road at the Sunway Hotel it costs RM9-00! Why? It is the same Cola, same size, same taste yet the cost varies?

The correct answers is …POSITIONING! Therefore, why some people earn RM1,500 a month, some earn RM5,000 a month and yet some earn RM15,000 a month working the same hours i.e. 9 AM to 5 PM. Why? It is KNOWLEDGE! Knowledge which came from continuous life-long education.

Further excepts from Dr. Lee’s speech

I would also like to take this opportunity to salute and congratulate my good friends and EDS MBA graduates, Mr. Francis Chen and Mr. Choo Chuan Sin for successfully founding the IPK. I still can clearly remember 9 years ago when I went to Kulim to witness the launching of the first IPK Centre. With their dedication and determination IPK continues to grow and has established three more learning centres.at Bukit Mertajam, Simpang Ampat and Butterworth. With their determination ... I am sure IPK will soon achieve their dream of becoming IPK UNIVERSITY.
