The First World Education Congress 2012 which gathered during 29th and 30th June, 2012 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India brought several global personalities in education and academics under one roof. The theme for the First World Education Congress was

The First World Education Congress 2012 was governed by a Global Advisory Council which guided the strategic intent of the Congress toward its meaningful success with hosting of global awards. We are [pleased to announce that the Congress honored EDS Business School with the following kind words:

Your leadership and contribution to the field of education is well known. The position that you occupy in the fraternity is strategic and iconic. As a thinker and doer you are a role model and a believer in change. We are pleased to write to you that the Jury and Council of Board Members have conferred “EDS Business School” with “B-School Leadership Award”. The Award consists of a trophy and a citation. The aim of the award was to recognize the best of the best, organized for a professional cause.

The World Education Congress was a assembly in which participants discussed evolving trends in education and examined modern and traditional knowledge systems. The Congress further explored how education can help develop mental, emotional, and physical skills to help facilitate personal excellence as well as psychological and socio – economic wellbeing, in the challenging times the world faces today.

Besides networking opportunities, the conference offered unique in-depth approaches to understanding important academic issues, which affect an institution's viability in today's fast-paced business environment. The Congress had a focus upon influencing the evolving culture of education and educational pedagogy, with the objective of deep systemic change, building on a vision and strategies for higher education institutes.
