The International Leadership Colloquium offers a first class experience in networking to its participants. This is true because the participants came from diverse academic institutions throughout the world.
Secondly, the participants are academic leaders who could make or were empowered to make commitments for and on behalf of their institutions, albeit to a certain extent.
Thirdly, the Colloquium offers a perfect platform where collaborations between and among individuals and academic institutions are forged, friendships established and new frontiers of partnerships started.
The common areas of focus of collaboration are on joint programs and research activities, on exchanges of academic materials and academic publications, and on exchanges and mutual visits of administrative staff, faculty and staff members, and graduate and undergraduate students.
As the head of our university, the personal experiences and insights I gained through my participation is also my university’s gain.
Penang is an outstanding international tourist destination and shopping paradise. A fascinating fusion of the East and West, Penang embraces modernity while retaining its traditions and old world charm. These are reflected in its harmonious multiracial populace and well-preserved heritage buildings which led to George Town being accorded a listing as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site recently. Long regarded as the food capital of Malaysia, Penang also entices visitors with its beautiful coasts and scrumptious cuisines.
